Description:
To create a simple sandbox game for children with the constraints of using Flash, limited colors, sandbox game with just one game screen/level with no game over screen. The objective was to create a constrained game using the methods of agile. We used our knowledge of poker planning and created a project backlog keeping the constraints and time in mind. We then were asked to begin pre-production and production using a sprint of half day each to achieve feasible features as required.
Thus with limited design choices we chose to create a train-track sandbox where children could create and rebuild their train tracks to complete from start point (station) to the end point (station). The game provides the player with different type of tracks which can be placed on the grids as desired. The project was successful and we delivered a project that was much appreciated by the dummy client (trainers) by respecting all constraints.
